I'm to scared to test out stuff myself so does anyone know a safe overclock for this game i just got the witcher 3 and even on high the fps drops at the start of the game not by much just to like 56 then back to 60 fps randomly so it kind of bugs me when playing.

Solution
All graphics chips are different, there is no set 'safe' overclock for GPUs, but all overclocking is generally safe provided you don't pump up voltage to max and turn off your fans. 😉
Apply a +30Mhz core clock oc, increasing power limit to max. (usually 120%-130%)

Overclocking decrease the life of your graphics card if not done properly.
Bump the power limit all the way up.(the percent not the volt)
Then increase your core clock by 75mhz check for instability,if stable then increase the core clock by 10mhz increment check for instability and keep an eye on temp it should exceed 75c(it can be increase to 80c but after that it can be harmful for the life of your graphics card).Do same with the memory clock.

No it doesn't, maybe by a tiny fraction if you flash the BIOS and chuck on a 70% power increase and crazy overclocks, but barely at all.
75c is perfectly fine, above 80c is getting hot, at that point you should lower your voltage or up your fan curve.
@OP, search an overclocking guide online from one of the major sites and you'll be fine.

Well dont play with the voltages it can damage your card. You use your power limit to overclock.

Well it all depends on silicon lottery.Your card was OK(or you're lucky).

Sigh.....
It's voltage which determines 'lifespan' draw, not ASIC quality. It was at +50 on the core clock on a power hungry card, if that doesn't prove anything to you idk what will, i've overclocked every GPU i've had since then, not a single one has died on me.
I said it once i'll say it again, it doesn't decrease lifespan to a point where it matters.
Its negligible.
