What is a good PC gaming headset

I currently use my Turtle Beach x41's for PC gaming. As I understand it, Turtle Beaches are pretty garbage compared to other PC gaming headsets. I have no idea what is a good PC gaming headset. I read on an article that Astro A40's are good. Any recommendations?
