What is a good power supply?

Wondering what power supply to get for my first computer build. Planning to get Intel i5 3570k, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, G.skill Sniper gaming series 16GB (8x2) F3-1600C9D-16GSR, EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti, WD Velociraptor WD 1000 DHTZ 1TB, Crucial M500 Internal SSD, Corsair Obsidian Series 900D. Thanks in advance 😀

Intel Core i5 3570k = 77W
Nvidia GTX 780 Ti = 250W
Allow 50W for other components
Total = 377W, mostly on the +12V rail
377 / 0.8 = 471.25W
This means you need a minimum of 40A or 480W on the +12V rail.

Suggestions:
Antec HCG 620 (good quality 620W, 80 plus bronze rated supply, +12V rail 48A or 576W)

Seasonic G 550 very good quality 550W, 80 plus gold rated supply, +12V rail rated at 45A or 540W)

Both these units are manufactured by Seasonic, but the second is more efficient.
I would recommend the Seasonic G 550, or you could go for the Seasonic G 650 if you want the extra headroom...

Seasonic, xfx or corsair are awesome you can get anything from 750w to 850w. Seasonic is the best psu manufacturer they also make the xfx psus and as for the corsair their psus are good as well

Corsair doesn't honor their rebates, so keep that in mind. Efficency is huge with power supplies, with only one gpu, even a 780ti, 600 watts plus should be doable, but an 80+ Gold will save you a lot of money on running it over the next couple of years.

That is actually incorrect. The savings will be very small at least in the US where power is cheap per kilowatt hour. Pennies a month. And I have never had an issue with Corsair rebates. And I have used Corsair power supplies dozens of times.

The G series is excellent especially for the price Seasonic sets. The 650w G scores a 9.8/10 from jonnyguru and not many models from any manufacturer ever score that high. I can't think of a single unit that ever scored higher and I have been following power supplies for years.

Real world I've seen a 20% reduction in power use between unrated and Gold power supplies at idle and load, and PS's work best at 50%, which is hard to measure real-world. If you run 24/7 and pull around 150 watts at idle as this build will, and you pay the $0.18/kwh I do then the power supply will save $25 per year, or more than it's initial cost over replacement, plus they tend to have better build quality and last longer.

Learn some math, and Corsair doesn't honor their rebates. The Seasonics posted earlier should be good buys.
