what is a good price for a gaming laptop this christmas?

it is really getting confusing between great pricing and what is inside those laptops. we've researched to the point of getting VERY confused.

in your opinion, what is a great price for a gaming laptop that can be used for games in between projects of premiere pro and after effects? (alienware or msi or... ?) during the black friday/cyber monday events? our budget is $1200-ish.

Would you be using the laptop for Premiere Pro / After Effects too?

Realistically, you need to get a baseline for what's available in the ~$1,500 range to have any chance of a <$1,200 Black Friday/Cyber Monday price, IMO.

The thing is, I see a lot of i7-9750H + 1660TI laptops for that pricepoint.... Some have an RTX2060.

Same spec (lower RAM and SSD though) for $999 + $100 rebate (so $899).
Personally, on info available right now, I'd look to buy that and upgrade it for maybe $100-$200 tops.
