i need some help since i bought my MSI R9 380 4GB when i push the R9 my pc loses power and reboots i'm pretty sure its the PSU so my question is what PSU can power my PC? specs below:

CPU: AMD FX 4300
CPU cooler: Cooler Master V8
Motherboard: ga 970a ds3p
GPU: MSI R9 380 4GB
2 hard drives 7200 RPM
current PSU Corsair VS650
Case: Sharkoon BD28

Your CPU has a 95W TDP, your CPU cooler about 10W, motherboard must be 60 or 70W, 2x 7200 RPM is 40W, that's about 215W, with the graphics card it goes for around 400W. I'd recommend a 650W PSU, this one:

I wouldn't rely on those PSUs...
Anything with 450 or 550W will be a push. PSUs should have about 40% free room from the actual power consumption of the whole system. So this system draws about just a little bit over 400W but we'll do it with 400W. 40% of 400W is 160W. 400W+160W is 560W. I think it would be much better for him to go with a 650W PSU just like the one I've recommended:

EVGA SuperNOVA G2 6520W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438054

550W is more than enough , and they are all high quality , made by SEASONIC.

Yes I know that Seasonic makes high quality PSUs. But so does EVGA, specially this one I've shown you. I think it would be safer to spend a little more and go with a 650W Gold Certified and Full Modular PSU to be fair...

thx for all the answers :)

one of my friends had a spare Cooler Master RS-600-ACAB-B1 600 watt PSU and so far no power loses i ran the OCCTt PSU test for 30 minutes and it worked fine is this PSU good enough or should i save up my money for the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 6520W 80+ Gold Certified ?

so its better to save up for the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 6520W 80+ Gold Certified?

will the Cooler Master RS-600-ACAB-B1 be safe if i use it as a temporary until i have enough money for the eVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 ?
