What is a good psu wattage amount?

I am planning to get (upgrade) to an i7-7700k processor and currently have an asus 1070 oc Dual edition. What would be a recommended power supply wattage and rating to use for a system with these components?

You need to consider all components in your system.

There are a number of online calculators to help you establish the expected power load to be served by the PSU.

Calculate the load and add 40%. Look for a PSU with that wattage or higher.

As always, read product reviews from within this Forum and other online sources.

Im running a 550Watt EVGA G3 with that systme right now and I have plenty of room to spare.

^+1 a high quality 550 W would be plenty, even if you're overclocking.
