What Is A Mid-Price Range Processor That Can Handle Digital Audio Prod

I would be running 32bit applications for my new laptop but do not know which are the best processors for Digital Audio Music Production.

I need good speed and ram constant use of 1.5 Ram when running 4 applications at the sametime here are the current models i'm checking from Toshiba.

(1) Toshiba Satellite C850D-ST3NX1 - AMD Dual-Core E1-1200 Accelerated Processor1.4GHz

(2) Toshiba Satellite C850-BT3N11 - Intel® Celeron® Processor 1000M Dual Core 1.8GHz

Those are not exactly mid-priced laptops... those are bottom of the line laptops. Mid-priced laptops are closer to $700 - $1000.

Anyway, the second option is the better option. When it comes to raw power, Intel is where its at. It really depends on the software requirements though. I would suggest at least a i5 for it.
