I have my GPU fan speed at auto because it's hard to talk to my friends when all they hear are fan noises. I have a Radeon HD 7850, pretty old card from 2012-2013. When gaming at 40 - 70 gpu usage, is 55 - 66 degrees Celsius a safe temperature under that 40 - 70 percent usage load? The fan is always spinning at 20 percent when idle, and ramps up when it reaches around 55 degrees.
Note: In an app called "SpeedFan", which lets you monitor cpu, gpu, hdd, and ram usage and temps, when the GPU reaches 55 degrees, there is a flame icon next to the temperature, meaning overheating. I have not OC'ed the card.
