BIND is a suite of software for interacting with the Domain Name System (DNS).
What's the meaning of the expression suite of software?

Things that can work together.

In MS Office, you can embed a spreadsheet from Excel into a Word document.
And even have an actual connection, so that when you change a value in Excel, it also updates the Word document.
So, as I understood BIND softwares are dealing with the Internet, a.k.a. the DNS server and protocol and also one with other. Right?

(In the first paragraph)
The most recent major version, BIND 9, was initially released in 2000 and is regularly maintained by the Internet Systems Consortium. For small or uncomplicated networks, BIND by itself is well suited to provide all DNS-related service functions.
What are the DNS-related service functions?

I am no expert in this but the following sentence probably sums up what it means.
