Hello,

As you can tell from this simple question, I am new to building computers and I'm in the process of slowly buying parts for my first computer build. I have already bought the motherboard and tower and plan on buying a Samsung evo SSD. My question is, what exactly is an SSD enclosure? Do I need it for my build? I also assume I'll need a mount but figured I would post it in here for the hell of it. You can see what I've purchased so far below as well as my build. Thanks for any advice in advance!

Your case has 5 spots for installing 2.5" drives. You don't need anything additional to install 2.5" ssd drive.

I'm not exactly sure, what you mean by SSD enclosure. Most likely that is external USB enclosure for connecting SSD externally.

You could have provided link to the SSD enclosure product in question.

Yes, I was a bit too quick to post this answer because I realized the answer immediately after posting. It was just the enclosure option with amazon which encloses the SSD and enables you to access it with a USB. Thanks for your reply.
