I think i've been ratted but I'm not sure. Is there anyway to know for sure that i've been? I just want to make sure. I haven't downloaded anything that was like a pop-up add. I don't download stuff in-general. Please help.

.rar indicated a compressed file that you would need to extract?

AVScanner itself appears to be a virus indication, and results in popups etc.

Malware/Virus scans from reputable providers (Malwarebytes would be a great starting point) should find/remove it, as it's fairly common.

Worst-case-scenario, a clean OS install will irradicate it, but likely unnecessary.

I have just ran Malwarebytes and it came up no-threats. Does that mean that I'm somewhat good? and as a clean OS install do you mean restore to system defaults?

Ok, let's start at the beginning..... where did you find this file?

A clean install would be creation of install media, formatting the dirve & reinstalling - resetting to defaults does not accomplish the same thing, no.

Again though, lets start at the beginning. A clean OS install is generally a last resort.

As AVScanner is a common one, we shouldn't have to resort to that.

Do you have any other anti-virus installed? AVG/Avast/Avira etc?

I found it in the Local disk. Idk if malewarebytes or the regular windows defender counts as one. I didn't open it. I just noticed it and deleted it from the Local Disk and then I wasn't sure what else was on my computer so I ran a test with malewarebytes and came up clean. I checked over everything and it doesn't seem like there is any new folders. Like I don't download a lot. I play csgo and minecraft, I most I would download is a texture pack.
