what is being implemented with software

Hi; I'm wondering to what extent AMD is using software companies to better utilize their processor prowess, particularly software that uses more cores, and is it unprecedented how much AMD is working with other companies to improve their scalability? I heard that AMD is working with Microsoft currently so that is very encouraging.

Well, Intel and Nvidia were doing that for long time. many benchmark programs are/were set so they are able to get everything (and more by cheating) out of their CPUs/GPUs, AMD now has tools now to parry those efforts from main competitors.
