Looking for the best DDR3 to run on a Gigabyte GA-EP45T-USB3P MB. Currently, the MB has 4GB of Adata 2000X, PC3-10700 (667 MHz).

I'm having lag time which necessitates increasing RAM but unable to find same product. Throw in the fact that I am not well-versed in newer architectures, and you have the basic cluster-you-know-what going on here.

I certainly would appreciate any offerings. Thank you!

What CPU? Are currently or willing to OC? What DRAM you can run is based on what you set the FSB to as the MC is in the NB chipset. If indeed you are running at 1333 now then the FSB is at 1333 or higher. Raising the FSB to accommodate faster DRAM is also going to OC your CPU (which can be adjusted downward by lowering the multiplier. Your mobo maxes at 16GB so best would be 2x4GB or if more needed 4x4GB and prob 1333 unless familiar with OCing and adjusting voltages and timings. Think I'd look at the Ripjaws:

Lag time does not automatically mean more ram is required. What is your use case?

Basically, the most ram you can afford is the best, regardless of speed or timing. Those have at most a 1-2% performance difference.

You need DDR3 ram. But depending on use case, the problem might be cpu or storage related.
