what is best DIY way to make a duplicate hard drive?

I have an old hard drive at my business that is ready to fail any day would like to make a duplicate hard drive to just plug in

I have used that in past but was only able to do back up did not make a bootable copy is there something I missed?

for back up you use its image option

bootable copy you use clone option

Yea lot of programs. Clonezillia, Macrium, EaseUS, Pargon, pretty much any kind of cloning or partition software has a cloning feature in it. Clonezillia though requires you to boot off a bootable drive or DVD. Macrium you can clone while running windows. For EaseUS or Pargon not sure.

The free version of Casper will also clone and does a nice job of it too.
