[SOLVED] What is better Xeon or i7 for Socket 1155?

Hello, I am looking to upgrade my CPU, since I might be keeping this as a second rig. I would like peoples opinons on which is best Xeon or i7 for Socket 1155. Also which model is best suited?

My Specs:

• Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.20GHz
• 24GB RAM
• MSI B75MA-P45 (MS-7798)

A 3770 isn't all that expensive compared to similarly performing xeons (It's like 6 bucks more than something like an e3-1270v2). I would personally go with that.

Generally there are Xeon equivalents to I7s for 1155 that are almost the same but the Xeons lack an igpu

Depends on the usage, xeons are meant for work, they lack features that speed up games.
if you will browse net (avoid floatpoint and avoid games) H.264 will keep you happy on both.
