If you have too many ***, on your computer, that maybe the problem.

Download Advanced System Care It will surely make your computer faster!

Or go to Start, " Run " or windowskey + R

and type in msconfig

and go to startup and uncheck the unneeded programs

and go to services and click non-windows services and uncheck, stuff you don't need.

I've checked my pc, It's clean.
The problems i have have is poor performance with games, 80% stutter on high-medium settings, for example hitman absulotion... barely runs on high.

I use a combination of CCleaner and Auslogic Registry Cleaner. CCleaner is handy to configure your startup programs as well.

Do you know your CPU usage at idle? Use Task Manager to find anything using excessive resources.

You could try a good cleanup, defrag and the latest GFX drivers.

You might want to also try dropping out of your overclock to see if that has any effect.

I agree with Brett, the g-card needs to be updated. If that is not an option you want to deal with right now, lower the quality to get better fps...

EDIT: sorry i see Darkstaride beat me to the fps, left this open and ran for dinner :p
