What is causing these fps drops?

Hey guys, I've recently been playing bf4 (Just got the pc "built" a few days ago. Built as in added a graphics card and PSU until I get enough for a new cpu+mobo+HDD+ram) and with Mantle on Ultra, I get about 90 fps to start (Campaign), but when I turn or just at random parts of the game, my fps drops from 0-20. I'm guessing this is either the cpu or ram, and I was wondering if there was anything that I could do to get it to run better. Thanks.

If your cpu is a slow one it's probably causing it. If thats the case the only solutions I can think of are possibly overclocking or upgrading the cpu. I would really like to know what cpu you're using. It's most likely not your ram unless your running below 4gb 1333mhz.

Oh sorry. I forgot to mention:
CPU: Core 2 Quad Q9400
GPU: HD 7850 1gb
RAM: 2 sticks (2gb each) at 667mhz dual channel ddr3
HDD:A slow 160gb which I need to upgrade
Mobo:Some stock intel board
But yeah, just for reference, I'll either be upgrading this to a lower end i5 + 1150 mobo or some AMD cpu/mobo.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be ordering my new parts in a month or two. Until then, I guess playing on low-medium should give the cpu less to process. (Well, it wouldn't be much improvement, as the gpu does most of that, but still.)
