Question What is "collect files" folder on the desktop?

Hello, after upgrading from Windows 10 to 11, I noticed that there is a folder called "collect files" on the desktop. What is that? When I opened it, I found some shortcuts and some normal files. Are they the only copy on the internal drive? How Windows decides which files/shortcuts put inside this folder?

I've never seen that, on any of my Win 10 or 11 systems.
