What is CPU Current Capability?

Im overclocking my PC and just wondered what I should set it too?

What does it do I have seen various people say 100% then other says 140%.

Auss p8p67 pro
i7 2600k

What kind of an overclock are you going for? Don't set stuff to the maximum unless you are really pushing an extreme overclock.

"For your overclock it doesn't matter - what Current Capability does is define the amount of current needed for the motherboard to detect an overcurrent condition and shut down. You aren't exactly up there in terms of power consumption.

So the more the voltage in the overclock, the higher you want it to be, but it ultimately does nothing if you aren't experiencing any problems in the first place.

I set mine to 130% most cases, I could set it to 140, but I have no problems at 130 and the lower it is, the more protection there will be, if there really is an overcurrent condition."

Ah makes sense il probs set mine to 120% then - thanks for that
