What is difference and which is best?

I'm trying to buy a monitor for this build...

I have finalized to two options..

1. Asus ROG SWIFT PG248Q 24.0" 1920x1080 180Hz Monitor

or

2. Acer Predator XB241H bmipr 24-inch Full HD 1920x1080 NVIDIA G-Sync Display, 144Hz, 2 x 2w speakers, HDMI & DP

Which one is the best to get? Obviously one of them is lower but I need to know if ASUS is really worth it for an extra $50?

"Best" is subjective.

List your requirements and then map each monitors specifications to that list.

However, the Acer offers to offer the most opportunity for growth and expansion as I understand the specifications. E.g. DP.

Go online and read the respective User Guides/Manuals,. Look at th product FAQs and manufacturer forums.

If at all possible visit some stores and look at the monitors. "Hands-on" examination is very important.

Likewise read any verified purchaser reviews that you can find. Such reviews may offer support for one monitor or the other. Or reveal some "show shopper" that simply excludes the monitor from further consideration.

Plan for growth if the offsetting increase in purchase price is within your budget,.

Well, I think you know a lot about monitors and so if you have looked into them for a second. They are both the same in every perspective. Both are really good 24'' 1080p G-sync 180Hz monitors.

I did look up the difference and opinions from people and most and almost all are saying it depends on yourself. "Since they are both the same, go for the one you think is better" I can't decide, many other people like me can't as well, so, I don't know which one is better, they both have the same warranty. Some are saying about color contrast or something like that is different in ASUS but you can change it. Can you help me decide which one of the two is the best I can get.

If your research is a "tie" then consider longer term options. E.g., DP.

May not need it or use it now but in couple of years then you may find yourself using DP.

Likewise for the speakers.
