Good Afternoon,

Lately I noticed my SSD Drive is very full and I'm unsure why. I've looked on other post on this site but it didn't seem to help.

I'll be as thorough as I can.

I have a 120GB SSD. The things I've directly installed on there is the following:

Phantasy Star Online 2: 36.7 GB
(OS) Windows 7: 25.8 GB
Program Files (86) has 3.25 GB but any other folder shown below is less than 1 GB so that's about 65.75 GB to be checked for.

Local%20Disk%20C_zpsqjnh1gea.png

When I went to Disk Cleanup what was there only added up to 10.6 MB

Yet.... it says it's 99.7 GB / 111 GB to unsure where the remaining ~33GB is being used from.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
WinDirStat can help visualize where your space is.
But primarily, Restore Points, temp files, page file, hibernation (how much RAM do you have?) the Win 10 install file that MS has so helpfully downloaded for you...
You have an SSD. First thing to stop dead is superfetch. That's a helpful thing to have with a hdd, but kills lifetime on an SSD. Google it for an explanation. Your OS is wrong. Typically you'll see 30-40Gb for install. Then there's all the security updates, Windows bug fixes etc etc. It's entirely possible to see windows with 60-80Gb depending on exactly what else, like java, Adobe, flashplayer, Ms office stuff etc, that's associated with it.

Then there's pagefile.sys, if you use the igpu there's also space set aside for that, hibernation is brutal on an SSD, get rid of it from bios to Windows power settings totally disable it, (it's for laptop usage not desktop), restore points, shadow copy, Antivirus, backups, temp directories, ie temps, my doc temps, downloads etc. Many of these don't show accurate numbers as they are part of libraries.

Update:
I have 8GB of RAM.

I checked the Windows Restore Point above it was currently set to Max Usage of 5% but the Current Usage was at 0 GB.

Checked the Shadow Copy as well I assume that's tied to the Windows Restore Point as well? Said the same thing... Maximum Shadow Copy Storage Space (5.585 GB) 5% but actual Usage is 0 GB.

I did try WindirStat (my apologies I'm sometimes anal about downloading stuff and tend to use as last resort)

It was very helpful apparently I had a game called Warframe hiding under Local of a decent 11.4 GB. I never played it but I thought I downloaded it under E:

Looking down the list I also saw two other what appears to be system files. Wasn't sure what they was. Those are only other things that using up space that I don't recognize...

pagefile.sys
hiberfil.sys

i had a similiar issue running win7 x64 on a ssd - i would daily see my "free space" shrinking 1-3 (or more) GB

what everyone else has said about restore points, page files etc

when i went thru the "SSD Optimization" tutorial for win over on Thessdreview.com, when i was thru, my "free space went from 41 GB free to 77 GB free. I turned page file back on to create a "virtual memory" of max 32 gb, and my free space dropped to 57 GB, which is where it should have been

try that optimization tutorial
