Gainward is a company like MSI, Gigabyte, EVGA ans Asus; It makes PC components. If you have a Gainward Nvidia GPU for example, it means that the GPU specs are designed by Nvidia, but the hardware itself is built by Gainward. Differences between different manufacturers are usually different power design, PCB, heat sink and cooler.

Nvidia & ATI/AMD design the graphic cards..

Companies like Gainward, PowerColor, Gigabyte, MSI, ASUS etc.. they use the design given by Nvidia and ATI to manufacture the graphic cards in mass..

Chip Designer = Nvidia
Chip Manufacturer = Gainward..
