What is happening to my hard drive?

So when I start my pc up my hard drive is visible and it’s xontents usable. It is a 1terrabyte has drive and I am using it for everything other than my windows software. Whilst using my pc the hard drive will disappear and to see it again I will have to restart my pc. All of it’s contents becomes unusable also. For example trying to launch the blizzard app will say that the shortcut no longer works as the original has been moved or deleted. What is happening and is there a way to fix this?

proffesor.skittles, have you done any changes to HW or SW before you started to get these problems? Suggestion would be to back up your information as soon as possible while you still can and run SeaTools on the drive to determine its health.
