I recently got my mobo and cpu upgraded from athlon ii x4 641, ga-a55m-ds2 to core i5 4690, ga-b85m-d2v.

I really hope I'm doing something user error instead of hardware failure because this is one of the upgrades I've been waiting for.

Whenever I save a setting in the bios I get this on and off behavior. And whenever I try to do some gaming(Valorant and Osu!) And doing OCCT's Power stability tests, I get frozen screens, Kernel Data Inpage Errors, Drives getting disconnected. And I don't know what else to do, even without a graphics card and using the igpu, using different ram sticks and even a 875w power supply(I was using 300w before the upgrade), as well as taking the whole system out, keeping the essential parts to boot into windows and straight up blasting air directly with a standing fan.

I'm tired at the countless diagnosing headaches, I'm considering going back to my previous system, I'm sad that the thing I got for my birthday is a paper weight, I have to wait for major holidays or my birthdayy next year to do massive changes to my system.

Full System Specs:
Intel Core I5 4690 (previously Athlon ii x4 641
XFX RX 580 2048sp 4GB variant
Gigabyte ga-b85m-d2v rev 3.0 (previously ga-a55m-d2v)
4GB DDR3 1600 (was with a 8GB Roboto stick, new mobo didn't accept it)
120GB SSD Walram
500GB HDD Seagate
320GB HDD Western Digital
300w and an 875w PSUs

In 1st video - are you pushing power button all the time?
Looks like PSU issue - PSU protections getting tripped.

In 2nd video - I'd suspect video cable/ monitor issue.
Try with a different video cable, different monitor.
Could be also GPU overheating.

What is model name of your PSU? Can you show a photo of PSU info label?

1. No, they are automatic, I don't really know, both PSUs I have shows the same behavior
2. I'll try it with the iGpu if it still shows the same thing/I don't have a DP to HDMI adapter as well as a compatible DVI-D cable, I only have a DVI-I to vga cable
3. Uncertified Inplay 300w and Dell 875w

So uhhh,

I woke up this morning and tried to do something for the time being, The seller I bought this from showed extensive tests to ensure it was not defective. While I was doing random ram configuration to finally let myself accept reality, I tried removing the cmos battery and the system does not suddenly shutdown while staying at the bios, saving settings and even booting into windows. While typing this I am currently doing windows updates and install graphics drivers and do a stability test in Power.

Still hoping it was the CMOS Battery the did this to me, I'll do an update once I got results.

Nothing changed 🗿

The seller agreed for me to send it back for a replacement, if the board is still working on their end they will refund it instead.
