I look at trade forums and I see offers in multiple HR's. What is this?

I would guess that stands for "high runes".

With the emphasis on runewords now, high end runes are worth more than elite
items.

so they just mean like 10 x hr is 10 random high runes not things like
ist um pul,. Just random high runes not used in runewords?

High runes are, LO, JAH, ZOD, CHAM (SUR not because no good runewords with
this one)

Ohm you mentioned, and, don't forget probably one of the most used: Ber.

In essence, I think any rune which cannot be gotten easily using the
Hellforge rushes is considered a HR.

Max the Hellforge can give: Gul. 2 x Gul = Vex. So Vex is still relatively
'easy'. Ohm is indeed a border-case, since that can be cubed from 2 Vexes.

But anything above that is considered a HR. Don't know about Sur, there's
at least one pretty cool polearm/merc runeword using a Sur (Doom?).
