this a biostar mobo? it looks like its your cmos jumper.is it a three pin socket and a two pin cap? if its your cmos jumper then,yes,you need it connected correctly.

how many pins? ive seen a three pin mentioned and it was the cmos jumper.ive also seen a two pin and it was the case intrusion connector.if its the case intrusion i wouldnt bother with it especially if you open it up often at first to "admire" it.lol.
