What is :k?

I would like to see my kill list, but the game won't let me. I can only
kick or view kick damage. The : key has nothing to do with :k. What is
:k? The keystroke part of the manual isn't specific enough. Alt and
Ctrl don't work, either. What key do I hold down?

Also, being able to :s places with a monster would be very useful.

Hit "colon", then "k", just as you do when typing ":k" normally. If your
keyboard layout requires pressing shift for getting the colon, let go of
the shift key before pressing "k". (As I said, just like typing ":k"
into a text editor.)

Normally only works with non-hostiles, though.

Thanks for the help, guys. I was trying to hold down shift, :, and k at
the same time!

Just press ':' (shift and the semi-colon buttton) and _then_ press k
