hey what is max power draw? im looking at specs and it says max power draw 250w then under it says recommended psu 600w

i have an 800w psu so is that enough or is it 250+600w?

Solution
I means the GPU will draw up to 250w when it is running at 100% load. I would suggest that an 800w PSU is more than enough for your entire system requirements as your CPU will only draw around 110w under load, plus your other components are not significant in terms of power draw. Your total system power draw under full load will be under 800w (which is no bad thing as it means you are not stressing your PSU).

You should have no problems running your GPU on your current power supply.

That's what your pc will pull if everything is running at max capacity. Are you looking at parts on PCPartpicker? 600w is fine if the whole system only uses 250.

no im looking at getting the 980ti i have a 17 4790k, 16gb ram, 800w psu, 2tb hdd, and a cd rom and it says that on the specs of the 980ti...

250 max draw
