Memory as related to the computer system, simply refers to a data storage location (where a series of 0's and 1's are represented to define what is called data).

Examples are;

-Flash Drives
-Hard Drives
-CD/DVD ROMs/RWs

Other temporal types of memories include;
RAM - Random Access Memory
EEPROM - Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory
