Hello,
I am building my second PC, and I am wanting to know what GPU is more future proof. I want my pc to last 3 or 4 years before I have to rebuild it again.
Here are the two I am looking at:
gtx 1660 ti or gtx 1070.
I want it to support 4k but on medium to medium-high settings not ultra high. and gives decent fps.
tyvm for help
system parts I have bought so far
amd ryzen 5 2600
MSI b450 gaming plus
G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200
Rosewill Hive Series 850W Modular Gaming Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified
Seagate BarraCuda ST3000DM008 3TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"

Honestly, these aren't now-proof for 4K, let alone future-proof. The 2070 is the minimum I'd bother with for 4K.

Also some curious choices here. No good reason to buy a middling 850W for the same price as a high-quality 550W or 650W and if you can't directly raise the budget for a GPU upgrade, there's not a lot of reasons to be spending that money on 32 GB of RAM.

Neither, I'd ask you to look at the RTX2060.
Ty I thought rtx 2060 be more pricey than 1070, now that I look at new egg there not.

I choose 850w because of fans I choose to replace on case. The ones I choose take a lot more power than most fans (this was recommended in the reviews of fan) and have a ton of more air flow if i remember right close to 241 air flow.
And about ram I caught it on sale was almost the price of 16gb ram so I bought the 32gb figured why not if similar price. (sale and mail in rebate)
