So I currently have an i3 6100 cpu and a board that support both 6th and 7th gen cpu and a 2x8gb 2666mhz ram. Should I buy a mobo/i5 9400f bundle or just buy an i7 7700 used one? The bundle and used cpu have atleast difference in price for about 5000php or about 100usd wherein the bundle is more expensive. My gpu is an rx 580 8gb

Hmmm tough call. The I7 7700k even at stock is still an awesome gamer. It can get bogged down in newer titles, but still very strong.

The 9400 with 6 true cores is a pretty strong CPU for 1080p. Either CPU would go very well with the rx580.

Might be wroth going with newer architecture and getting a CPU upgrade in a year or two. The 9400 would serve you well until then.

Is it okay if its an i7 but non K version? Because i may squeeze a little more money but it will take me time to buy the bundle. I need a beefy cpu that can run cpu intensive games which is what i wanted to play most of the time

I disagree the 7700k gets bogged down as you say. What game would bog it down ? 9400 may be a 6core cpu but thats it at lower clock speeds. the 7700k still has hyper threading which will help in games like bf1 and bfV
