What is my best upgrade for $235

i want a better cpu and mobo
i by mistake bought a mobo with only single channel memory support!
so i definitely need a mobo upgrade
i was considering a G31 chipset but i'm not sure what its raid support is like

what should i get????

my budget is R2000

as you can see i'm partial to overclocking

this is my system
intel e2200 at 2.83 oc'd GHz
biostar tf-7150 nforce 630i board (was cheapest mATX board with oc features that i could find)
geforce 8800GT 512MB version
3x seagate 250GB HDDs in raid0
4GB DDR2-800 (2x2GB)

oh and it's for gaming

That it? No that's not a single channel memory controller. nvidia calls it MCP. Their ram list is here. If yours isn't listed, it may not run at optimal settings.

BTW, how do you know your ram is in single channel? Show me a screenshot.

upgrade the CPU to a Q9450 or Q6700 if you can.

and yes it is single channel
when i bought it i didn't think anyone sold anything but dual channel
i have 2 matched modules in the 2 available slots

Try clearing cmos and loading bios default.
