What is my old system worth

Hello,
I am in process of majorly upgrading my gaming desktop.
As such, most of the old parts need to go away.
I would appreciate some advice on what everyone thinks they are worth, either separately or as a complete tower.
I'm currently planning on keeping the case, optical/hdd drives, and the GPU. But if I can sell it as a whole unit, I'm willing.
(just recycle/throw it away is a legitimate response)
Thanks in advance.

Complete current build:
CPU - i7-920 2.67GHz
Motherboard - Asus P6T Deluxe v2
RAM - 18Gb DDR3 triple-channel (3x2 + 3x4)
Power Supply - Corsair CMPSU-850TX 850W
GPU - EVGA GTX970
Case - LIAN LI Lancool PC-K62 -https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112239
Optical - Samsung DVDRW SH-S223L LightScribe
HDD - SAMSUNG ST1000DM005 1TB 7200RPM

A pc will often fetch more if it is disassembled and the parts sold individually.
That is because it is unlikely that a buyer will want exactly the same pc.
Find your parts in used condition on ebay.
Then filter on completed auctions,
In green you will see what the part actually sold for.

To be blunt, not a lot, consider turning it into a file store? You can buy NAS's for more than you can sell that for, but that could have a lot more capability than a NAS for the cost of a cheapo case and some storage.

Yeah, that's what i was figuring. I don't really have much need for a file store.
I'll probably end up giving most/all the parts I don't need away to friends.

Yeah. Like I said in my other reply, I'll probably give the parts away to one/more of my friends.
Everything WORKS, it's just unfortunately too old to be worth anything.
