What is my PSU wattage?

Hello. I bought a Radeon HD 6450. The specs says it's minimun wattage is 400w. I'm not sure about my PSU's wattage. It says:

INPUT: 115V~230V~, 12/6A
60/50HZ

OUTPUT: 500w

My PSU also has a MaxBright logo, and it's model is ATX-500.

I think it's safe to assume that it is a 500w PSU, honestly though you're not gonna need a 500w for a 6450, and I wouldn't trust that brand for a minute.
Might think of investing in something like this

Why would I buy that if my PSU's watts are higher?

your psu will not put out "500W OF CONTINUOUS POWER". If its a branded pc(hp,dell)they use cheap power supplies. it says 500w but more like 400w it should say on the side like 500w max ?w continuous. So look for continuous power output and 80 PLUS BRONZE CERTIFIED.

The Radeon HD 6450 draws just about 1-2 amperes on the 12V (18-27watts) at max.
Even a 250Watt power supply should work fine if you're not running anything but a basic PC.
