Hi, kinda a lame question from a newbie, so bare with me please :)

Im replacing RAM soon, but wanted to make sure I know for sure what my actual RAM is and whats maximum MHZ i can get.

Does the below screenshot from taskmanager mean my motherboard only supports 2666 mhz max?

I currently have the below RAM (2x8gb = 16gb total) installed but on the RAM itself it says DDR4 3000 which kinda tells me they installed a 3000mhz RAM on a 2666mhz board.
I know its not a big deal and it simply means that even though i have 3000mhz RAM it will be locked at 2666mhz, but I just wanted to really have someone confirm cause my motherboard doesnt have a manual ASROCK B360M XTREME (cyberpowr) and when contacted ASROCK - they couldn't give me an answer.

So if someone can confirm that my motherboard supports a max of 2666hz RAM and not more I would appreciate and buy 32GB 2666mhz then eevn though i wanted at least 3000mnhz

The highest stock speed for DDR4 RAM is 2666MHz. If you want to use your RAM's full potential then you will have to enable the XMP profiles in BIOS to run at 3000MHz. The XMP profiles available should be the ones stable for your system.

And yes, if you don't plan to touch XMP profiles then buying RAM rated faster than 2666MHz is somewhat pointless.
I would imagine you haven't entered BIOS to choose an XMP profile.

By default, or stock settings, the RAM will only be as fast as stock values allow. Anything above the highest rated stock value, like 3000MHz would be an 'overclock'.

Ya, i didnt check bios and not planning to overclock i just wanted to know if what the 1st screenshot shows means my stock ram can is for a 2666mhz max meaning that if i stayed at stock speeds i should buy 32gb 2666mhz.

Does it also mean that if i was to turn xmp on i could then get 3000-3200 ?

Thank you, just side question, is enabeli g xmp profile all i have to do to have it run at 3000mhz or does require further knowlege and steps? Or i literaly just enable and it will automatically pick up that 3000mhz?
