So I was looking to buy a cheap monitor.
I need it to be IPS, 1080p and 24", thats all checked, and I need it to perform well in very sunny room. Because at some hours sun is directly staring at monitor.

So I've found few monitors. Their specifications says next:
Display Surface:
  • ASUS VA24EHE - Non-Glare
  • BENQ GW2475H - Anti-Glare

Whats the difference? I couldn't find the right answer online, it's always anti-glare vs anti-reflective.
Is anti-glare same as the non-glare? Which is better for very sunny room?

Solution
i believe all the terms are the same thing. just different name from each company.

from experience, direct sunlight is hard to deal with on any monitor. a well placed curtain or even a towel placed just right those couple hours of the day will go along way to avoid the problems. the monitor needs to be bright enough to overcome the sun that will be trying to fade it out. nothing on the low cost end is going to do that as well as you'd probably like.

had a dorm room a long time ago with that issue a couple hours in the afternoon, i just hug a towel up so it cast some shade and pulled it down when the sun moved :)
