What Is Plex Media Server Folder??

So I Was Looking Through My Virus Scans (What It Scans Not The Accual Viruses) And I Found This Massive Folder Called "Plex Media Server". I Was Wondering Exactly What This Is For Because Right Now I Really Want To Delete It cause It Extends The Scan By Like 2 Hours.

You, or somebody else who uses your computer, has installed a program called "Plex."

This program is NOT a virus - it's used to stream local video files. Think of it like Netflix, but instead of watching the shows and movies that Netflix decides to show you, you get to watch whatever shows and movies that you have on your computer. Talk to the members of your household; it's more than likely that one of them is using Plex to watch movies and such on their phone at night, instead of having to be on the computer.
