hey guys i was wondering if the amount of space on a ram would increase the performance of gaming and second does the increase of mhz mean an increase of performance?

Solution

No. For current applications, 8GB is generally fine. 16GB if you're doing a lot of intensive rendering. 32GB if you have several virtual machines running, all taking 4 or more GB each.

For a gaming machine, 8GB is plenty.
Increasing MHz will usually only yield tiny perfromance upgrades (if any). Increasing the amount of RAM is, on the other hand sometimes very useful. Could you tell how much RAM you currently have in your system, so that we can work out, if you should upgrade or not?

thanks for the reply i was just wondering what it is because i'm building a new pc and was wondering if more ram will increase performance i was thinking of getting 32gb
