So im a gamer that also does some blender work (just casual and mainly sculpting and not rendering and im going to upgrade to a 4080 on its release next month i was wondering which would be the better option between the I5-13600KF and the i7-12700kf.
the largest difference seems to be the different amounts of performance and ecores but im not invested enough in components to know how much this impacts things,
Here is a link to a site with a side to side comparison if it would help https://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cpu-intel_core_i5_13600kf-vs-intel_core_i7_12700f

The i5-13600KF is faster on cpu-monkey.com (the site is really good and Cinebench does prove one of the toughest and best CPU-related benchmarks out there) as per the link you've provided and also on cpu.userbenchmark.com.

Do benchmarks drive your decisions?

If you did a blindfold test doing all of the tasks you normally do and could not tell the difference, would you still be disappointed if you made the "wrong choice", whatever that is?

Might matter which motherboard you were using.

Might matter if one setup had DDR 4 RAM and the other DDR 5
