hi i want to ask ive been searching some wifi routers is it like an internet or is it just a booster ? i have virgin media internet its pretty fast but i want something faster

a router will not make your connection to/from the internet any faster.....; it merely will allow (typically 4 or 5) a few folks to share it wired, and, up to 256 users to share it wirelessly.....
