What is the amd equivalent to i7

Please! I would like to know if i can find any CPU equivalent to the i7.

The closest would be a FX-81xx or high end Phenom II X6, but neither are as good as a Sandy/Ivy i7.

There is NO equivalent.

Amd's highest end desktop processor is the FX-8150, which is comparable to Intel's i5 series of processors. Unfortunately, FX is still slower than first generation Intel I series.

In terms of pricing & overall performance, you can not find any. You have to drill down on the specific application you want to use it for to find out.

The simple answer is there is no AMD CPU that is equivalent to the Core i7 series CPUs. See following link that compares benchmarks of the FX-8150 and the Core i7-2600k.
