What is the AMD Radeon graphics card equivalent of the Nvidia GTX 1070TI G1 Gaming?

Disclaimer: i am not that good with pc components.
Does the amd radeon equivalent work with an i7 8700k?
Are there any differences between the gtx1070ti and the amd radeon one?
Which one of them is better?
Is it worth to change to an amd radeon graphics card just for a 240hz free sync monitor? Help me please. Thank you in advance.

Nvidia will support freesync in 3 days. I wouldn't swap it out

The 1070 ti sits in between the vega 64 and the vega 56.

While that is true, NVidia has only certified a handful of monitors as being GSync compatible. Those that NVidia don't certify, will more than likely reject any attempt to do GSync.
