Do you mind going the intel route?
Since i see you are debating between 2600/3600 from that last thread.
you can get a 10400F for 170$ and a Z490 mobo which will support 11th gen Rocket Lake cpu's.
Also you can get some pretty cheap ram like since it doesnt matter for intel.

I saw this earlier and I saw it had faster clock and was cheaper. It isn't the super version, but would this one be a better buy?

@AlexTheFern an alternative would be 10100F,similar performance in gaming,but 6 core 12 thread cpu such as i5 10400F would be better for future.
If you go for the i3 10100F route,you should upgrade the CPU to the Rocket Lake later on.

It will perform similar to the i5 10400F i put in this thread,but has a pretty poor motherboard,but its very likely that H410 chipest will support 11th gen cpu's,since MSI said that their entry level H410 motheboards will get a bios update for 11th gen cpu's,and i think other companies like asus,asrock,gigabyte will follow.

Take your time,pick out the parts,dont rush anything.Take it easy.
It took me 5 months to get the confidence to swap out the cases,since i had a OEM mobo so its kidnda hard to find all the front panel connectors.But i took my time,went full send and it worked out perfectly.That was last year,damn time flies.
