also keep gigabyte motherboards in mind they are a very durable brand I have the Gigabyte LMT-SP2 for about a year now and it is a micro atx that has never had any problems with over clocking and I game on it 5-7 hours a day also it is pretty cheap compared to alot of mobos
I would say (and people might say im wrong) is the fx 8350 the 9590 is the best amd has right now but i think thats overkill as for the mobo just as long as overclocking isnt an option any mobo that supports am3+ cpu's should work fine. if your not planning on doing sli then any micro atx mobo that supports am3+ should work fine

I would recommend going with Intel, Although if you prefer AMD its fine, You want to choose an AMD Chip that wont bottleneck you're 970, I would recommend the 8320 (The reason i don't recommend the 8350 is because its just an OC version of the 8320) And just overclock it a bit, If you're on a budget go for the ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2 Motherboard, If not the ASUS M5A99X EVO Motherboard R2 is a good choice

I would not recommend the Asrock 970 extreme r2.0 as the budget board... If you're looking for basic function, sure maybe go with that. The Gigabyte 970a ud3p would be a better buy than asrock which will allow for a much higher overclock. Aside from that, I do second the recommendation for the fx 8320 over the 8350. They're the same chip only different clock speeds. With a decent enough motherboard, you can hit the same range of overclocks anyways.
