Generally speaking, the Intel Core2Quad Q9650, if your motherboard supports it. However, as @norcalsc states, a processor that age isn't going to help in current games.

Based on the q9550 being supported, I don't see any reason why the q9650 wouldn't also be supported.

That's fine to say and you're probably right, but if the OP gets the Q9650 and for whatever reason, it doesn't work, then what?

Agreed, but with the experience I have of using the q9xxx processors on systems that supposedly didn't support them the q9400 through q9650 were supported the same. Again, info that OP must digest and decide what they want to do, but this is information from experience that I'm quite comfortable with sharing.
