[SOLVED] What is the best CPU for a 2070 super?

I'm planning to get a 2070 Super, I currently have an i7-8700. I also play competitive Fortnite, so I wanted to know if anyone else could attain 144hz/240hz during mid-end game. If you can't answer that question that's fine, but pairing the 2070 super is the main question.

The 8700 would pair fine with the 2070S, just adjust the graphics to get the FPS you desire and if the FPS gets progressively worse throughout the match then check temps as thermal throttling on either/both the CPU/GPU could cause the reduced performance.

To get an idea as to how you might do, run this test:

Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

My guess is that you will do just fine.
