So I bought a hp pavilion off of eBay. The exact model is a hp pavilion p7-1154 and I’m trying to make a low end gaming rig here. So my gpu is the NVIDIA GeForce gtx 750 ti sc evga 2gb. So what’s the best cpu for me?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Your HP Prebuilt should come with a sticker on it's rear/side/top/bottom to help identify it's SKU. Conversely you could power up the system and pass on what you see on CPU-Z.

Is this what you have to work with?

This thread would be along those lines;

It seems you got an answer over there as to what CPU AMD A8-3870K. but the wattage question comes into play.
If you wanted to take a chance. It seems there all in China but if you wanted to pay more you can find state side.

But how much memory does computer have right now. You said your goal it to make a low budget gaming computer. If you have at least 16 Gb's of memory and with the CPU and GPU you have your already there.

Some OEM computers are upgrade gold mines and others are a money pit. All I think you need is memory and call it on that Model Hp you have.
