What is the best final video upgrade for this system?

I want to make one final update to this board since I maxed my memory and switched to 64-bit.

what FINAL nVidia video card should I get so I can play max settings?

Well, this is playing max settings... what, on your 720p TV? Your 1440p digital creation workstation monitor? Your 120hz, 1080p gaming monitor?

What exactly do you want. Do you just want to be able to take every setting and make it maximum, even if you can't tell the difference, for an extra $200? It seems that way, since you're buying a ridiculous processor and motherboard. (Really, there's no reason to do that - it doesn't have PCIe 3.0, which means the only major advantage LGA 2011 had [lots of graphics bandwidth for x3 and x4 card setups] is now nullified, so you're left with a slower, older platform that doesn't overclock NEARLY as well because of how much heat it produces.) I also would seriously say that you shouldn't go with an H100i - that's just sad with parts that expensive. 16GB of ram is pointless - 8GB is enough to simultaneously run battlefield 3, photoshop, and 30 tabs in chrome... and 1600MHz is more than enough and 1866 will have no visible effect and barely any on benchmarks - it may actually be slower because of how ram latency works.

I don't mean to offend you, but it SERIOUSLY seems like you just went out and picked the most expensive parts on the market that would fit together, thinking that most expensive means best. Sorry to tell you, but it doesn't. You could have a much nicer, more powerful, quieter build that comes with more nice things for less money... if you want.

what is your budget for the whole system?

I try not to limit myself initially. Then I either go for that suggestion or a step-down from it. Just to throw a number: $250.

The aBIT IP35-PRO is aging, so of course a Titan IS an overkill.

Not sure what is a reasonable card to play on a Dell UltraSharp 2407FPW-HC. So I'm up for any reasonable upgrade from my Radeon R7870

how I search for my upgrades is done this way:
what does DigitalStorm or FalconNorthwest offer?
get that list, get the step-down parts from it.

then after that build, I would skip a generation of tech, maybe 2 yrs.

so on my current rig, I'll keep it til the i7 gets reasonably cheaper, hence, I want to get the most fastest reasonable vidcard for this motherboard, while saving for the next rig.
