I have a GTX 1060 6gb MSI gpu and an old FX6300 processor and I would like to know, other than Fraps, which games recording software is best for my pc.

I use vsync on most of my games to keep my gpu's temperature down, which means playing at 60fps.

Currently, for some reason, my games only work on Windows 7. Fraps doesn't work properly on my games(low fps while recording).

Which is my best bet?

Thx in advance for any input!

As mentioned, the ShadowPlay tool included with GeForce Experience is your best bet.

Particularly with an old CPU like a FX 6300, you need a capture tool that's very efficient resource wise. In fact you might also want to exclusively use just the Instant Replay option. Once Instant Replay is turned on, you can just play without manually recording, as it caches the last 20 min of gameplay automatically. Then pause and hit the Instant Replay key and it will write that 20 min of gameplay to a video file. This way you get no performance drop.

You can even continue from that pause point, as long as you wait until the previous 20 min of play has finished writing to a video file before playing further. Otherwise the next segment will have severe hitching. Unfortunately this also means Instant Replay is not suitable for all MP play, as the match has to be less than 20 min long.

So, in summary, it's not at all about what the best capture tool is for W7, it's about what is the best capture tool for your older hardware.
