I'm building a PC for my uncle who plans on using it for video editing purposes for his job. I am set on getting the i7 6700k, but what would be a good GPU for his uses with the budget in mind. Im more of a gamer, not an editor, so im not sure. I saw some people say a 950/750 ti/960 would work. Would those also be viable options?

He'll need 200 GB or more SSD for working files and all software - the primary Windows boot drive. And a large HDD to store finished videos.

If you have the budget, a very large SSD is great.

I've seen video editing workstations being sold with GTX 1070 GPUs. Good choice. If your uncle is using this professionally, you definitely want an SSD for high speed editing. Hope all this fits in your budget.

Yea, he is using it professionally. Should i get him a 1tb ssd alone, or a smaller sized ssd with a hdd for more storage? We are actually doing pretty fine with the budget as well

depends on how fast you need the storage.
also have you considered the i7 6800k its much better for video editing
